Our story
Arau was born from a simple idea.
To bring together in one place the flavours, experiences and cultures that left their mark over the course of a journey. With Argentine roots, Australian inspiration and a Barcelona heart, Arau blends the tradition of Argentina, the creativity of Australian brunch and a passion for specialty coffee.
A space where different cultures meet around the table to create something new, warm and authentic. Because we believe some of the best things are born from the mix.
We're inspired by home cooking, quality produce and those little details that turn a meal into an experience. For us, hospitality isn't just a service: it's our way of making them feel at home.
Barcelona is now our home, and Arau is our way of sharing with the city everything that inspired us through years of travelling, learning and discovery. Welcome to Arau. Welcome to our story.

The brunch brings us here; the coffee makes you want to come back. We work with specialty coffee and pay tribute to Australian coffee culture with classics like the Flat White, Magic and Long Black. More than 1,500 cups leave our bar every month.
